The Go For 2&5 Indigenous Program continues to grow in rural WA.

As part of Reconciliation Week, Athletics WA is highlighting the ongoing development in indigenous communities throughout WA. Athletics WA’s Go For 2&5 Indigenous Program reaches more than 3300 children throughout rural Western Australia every year. With a specific focus in the Kimberly region, Athletics WA continues to deliver engaging and sustainable athletics clinics in the North West.

Athletics WA is proud to announce it’s junior high performance squads for the 2017/18 season. 93 athletes have been selected to join the Target Talent Program and Talent ID Squad for the next 12-months.

More coaching pathways for Athletics in WA

Rec. Running Coaching Course set to Launch.

This month will see Athletics WA deliver it’s first ever Level 1 Recreational Running coaching course. With running events like fun runs, Park Runs and marathons on the rise in Western Australia, now is the time to get accredited. 

Created as an alternative coaching pathway, the Level 1 Recreational Running coaching course has been generated for people who wish to focus on running events, rather than all of the athletics disciplines you would cover in the Level 1 Community Athletics Course.
